I dont think any one noticed this because i didnt see a thread about it but did you guys see anything weird in the SF trailer. Give ya a hint it was the last 15 secs of footage at the end before the credits. I just read a thread about the assault and spec ops being souped up with the new gear. Then add this to the spec ops it appears that c4 now has a the option to be triggered or................... timed. You will notice the c4 beep continously until boom. Its not as good as being able to trigger your c4 individual but its a start. Watch the first trailer again youll see it at the end.

Re: Something Real New To BF2 SF
the beeping and red led could have been added later to make it more cinematic, we'll have to see when the game comes out.Comment

Re: Something Real New To BF2 SF
It could also be a triggered event. They said there will be strategic objectives in this one - like in the version of UT where you had to hit the different gates to get back to certain areas. Or like in RTCW where you had to build the bridges, to then blow up some gas tank, then blah blah. At one pt it sounded like it was going to be something like that...or have that more of an option.
It would be awesome to have another game mode - other than just conquest. Man I can't tell you how much I miss CTF.Comment

Re: Something Real New To BF2 SF
does anyone know if there is a "range" to the wireless detonation of the c4?
it would be very curious if they added timed c4 to the game...i am not sure there would be any tactical need for it since the game can be, as we all well know, unpredictable at times...Comment

Re: Something Real New To BF2 SF
this is the intro to BF2: SF, not a trailer "teaser" like the other one you are reffering to. The map and abilities of the soldiers ( gadgets, weapons, and abilities ) were all shown as IN-GAME footage. AND since this is not a game but an expansion for the game, you can expect every ability used to be in the movie to be in SF. Not to mention how the end has the BF2 music at the end followed by the giant 2, then an arrow zipping across the screen. showing this is what you will see most likely when you turn on the game. And anyways, the intro to BF2 did not have a false map, it was a map of Daquing Oilfields....Originally posted by EAGLE_18Doubt it will be included, look at the Trailers (especially the E3 one) for BF2, I don't see that map, nor do i see Laser Designators. The map resembles Mashtur slightly, but I don't see any planes nor F-15s on Mashtur :)
Plus, im excited to learn that TEAMWORK is essential to the new BF2 SF maps. So now, as you see in the intro movie, a squad of soldiers has to infiltrate the enemies facility and open th gate for th real fight to begin.

Re: Something Real New To BF2 SF
Maybe it's simply a sound to let you know that C4 is in the area? DICe would do something like that....

There is no range. I've placed C4 at a flag then travelled across the map. I blew the C4 when the flag turned gray and got a kill.Comment
