Star Medal Tie Breakers

Hello,

I was unable to find this answer in these forums or google, hopefully it's an easy answer.

I finished a round this past weekend tied for points, but the awards screen showed me ending up with the Silver Star. The only thing I noticed was he had a higher combat score while I had a higher teamwork score.

I'd just like to confirm what the tiebreakers are for the Star Medals, either that my observation is correct or that some other method is used.

I'm pretty sure the game defaults to the most kills if the scores are the same, and if the scores and then kills are same, then the least amount of deaths. I'm not sure where it goes after that.
