Any one else get aggravated by vehicles that have banana peels for tires? Every time I park an FAV to use the top mounted mg my car starts sliding. This is a real pain when you're trying to shoot down a cobra. Maybe they could patch in a parking brake or something.
another complaint?

Re: another complaint?
yeah i thought that, its annoying as hell if they dont want the hassle to make a handbrake then they could at least make it so the car wont move of its own accord unless theres someone in the driving seat in order too emulate the fact that they would have put the handbrake on before getting out.
I mean how many people park there cars on a hill and leave the handbrake off? -

Re: another complaint?
Been a problem since 1942. It is better than it used to be, and at least they fixed it so that if you are standing next to your jeep repairing it, it will not slide down and kill you as often before the patch.
I guess it prevents people from parking on major slopes...but they should make it less of a problem when you are on barely any slope at all.Comment

Re: another complaint?
Happens more if you were going backwards before you fired. Transmission seems to stay in reverse - whereas if you are going forward and come to a stop and fire, it does not happen as much.Originally posted by TalusI've been in a tank on Karkand..on a completely FLAT surface...fired my cannon and noticed that my tank rolled slowly backwards for about 10 minutes until it finally backed into something and stopped.
If you do roll back from the force of the cannon going off - at least you can tap forward to make it stop.Comment

Re: another complaint?
It's almost as if there is no true "weight" specification in the game, as no matter what the vehicle it will slide down a hill or fail to climb a hill because the wheels have no traction. Maybe if the wheels "traction" value was increased it would make up for the lack of anything representing vehicle weight.Comment

nothing like real life physics coming into play! i hated this in 1942 and thankfully the threshold is a great deal higher now...Originally posted by BeerStein...at least they fixed it so that if you are standing next to your jeep repairing it, it will not slide down and kill you as often before the patch.
the other post about the roll back after firing, that has got to be a pita...never have seen it but i imagine it will be time to pay better attention... don't want any more tk's on my record...

Re: another complaint?
Looks like another complaint to me. So do 90% of the posts I see in this forum. I don't recall any possotive comments about the game... lol.Comment

Re: another complaint?
Like any other complaint in life, your cause and public statement will be much better regarded and listened to if you also contribute a suggested fix or two. I'm not flaming anyone, but in my experience with bug hunting and general gaming complaints, people are much more receptive, responsive, and supportive of your claims if you suggest solutions, too.
For example, why not have DICE change the coding to something along the lines of this (and I'm using extremely simple Boolean code):This would make the vehicle very "heavy". It tricks the game code to make the vehicle so heavy that it wouldn't slide on most surfaces. Gravity would have such a grip on it once it mates a surface it won't slide. Even if you're a passenger or turret gunner, the ride will stay firm. Once a player takes the driver seat again, the vehicle's mass/weight is reset to the default value, allowing sliding once again.IF (Driver_Position = empty)
...Vehicle_Mass = Vehicle_Mass*100
ENDIF
Any other suggestions?Comment
