Why can't I make a squad?

Ever happen to you? When you're on a server you can't make a squad...why?

Is it a server setting?

hasnt happened to me in a while, but before the patch -- a lot.
I couldnt make a squad and neither could anyone else, just a glitch

there is a maximum of 8 or 9 squads(not sure exacly) thats why you werent able to make a squad

on rare occasion you can get on a server that does not offer you an option to make a squad AT ALL, even the squad button isnt there

ive seen servers that restrict the number of squads i guess because they want bigger individual squads.

I think on =Strike at Karkand= 24/7 they limit you to 2 squads for the team.

I've been bugged where I have been unable to join a squad sometimes.

Other people see me as being in a squad...yet I cannot leave it nor can I join another.

The only cure is to leave the server and come back.

MOST of the time, however, it is because squads numbers are maxxed and you don't see an error message. Simply ask in the 'All' channel is somewhere would disband their one-man squad..and BINGO...problem solved.

I recently read a post where people were getting trapped in/out squads. They could not leave/create new - nothing.

Look for posts about mid last week. From what people were saying in that thread it was a comming thing. New to me.

Happens to a friend I play with all of the time. Drives us nuts because we cannot squad up. I create a squad and he cannot join it because he's bugged.

We were on the |NAEA| server yesterday and it had something set that only allowed for 6-8 squads...after that you couldn't make a new squad. I've seen this a couple times before, even once where 1 side had unlimited squads, but the other was held to 3 squads. Bug or wierd setting in BF2CC.

I have seen this happen

Basically, me and a group of people (about 6 of us at a lan gaming centre) tried to connect to a server that I always play on from home. We were able to connect fine, however unlike what normally happens, there were only 3 squads available and no one could create a squad.

Seemed to stay that way the entire day until they finally rebooted the server.

Happened to me a few times...maybe its way of making ppl join and fill up the already listed squads b4 you can create a new one:hmm:

no wonder why it happens and then doesn't - play the same server alot and somedays its there and some its not...
