Reformatted and Reinstalled now a big problem! Help!

I reformatted and reinstalled BF2 and ever since then when i click on my username and log in it takes forever and eventually automatically loads into a random multiplayer server. How do I stop this so I can choose my own server? It never did this until I reinstalled? Any help?

You have your bf2 icons on your desktop mixed up, one is named "battlefield 2"
and the other is name something like "Play BF2 Online Now", when you click on the play now icon, it will automatically join a server after you login. So find the icon that just says battlefield 2 and use that one.

Predator is exactly right! Took me a while to figure that one out, glad I did though because it was annoying as hell.

yep, click on the bf2 icon, not play bf2 online now
