Just played my first MOD (Project Reality)

All I have to say is WOW this IS the BF2 I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I have only played a few sigle player maps so far to test it out & I'm VERY impressed. It's like they made this great balance between the realisim of Americas Army & the action of BF2. A few of the things I really enjoyed was the tank rounds you can choose from (Sabot, Heat, Smoke). Also if your close to someone & shoot them you can actually see a quick spray of blood. It's an AWESOME MOD and one that I will be following very closley now. :)

After playing this MOD its apparent that EA/Dice really did dumb down this game for the "arcade" crowd.

I hope mods don't work like custom maps, where people are playing them on almost ever unranked server for 3 days and then go back the maps they've already played 100 times.

There are now several servers running PRMM. Definately worth downloading and trying. My favourite so far has been Gloryhoundz server but I'm at work at the moment so I don't have the IP handy.

I'm with you Crow, this is exactly the kind of BF2 I've been looking for. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to regular BF2 again.

For those of you unsure about mods - It's easy. Download the mod and isntall it. This will make an icon on your desktop. When you want to play the mod simply click on the mod's icon. When you get to the server browser make sure you select the "same mod" filter and you should see all the PRMM servers. They can be identified by the PR on the left side. Due to the retarded Dice coding on the browser you may have to restart your game to refresh the list properly.

This mod in no way effects your ability to play regular BF2. You can keep them both installed and switch easily between them.

Yeah, I"ve played this mod since the first version came out. It is certainly picking up steam with player population... I hope it continues. I love this mod. It's much more fun than BF2..

Also, if you guys like this PRMM mod, check out 21st century warfare mod. IT's a sweet mod too.
