Which ranks get unlocks?

I got to Lance Corpral a few days ago and got my first unlock when I left the server.Now today I got to Corpral and I left the server and I said I got the next rank and an unlock.I clicked 'Choose later' now when I go kit info I click on the locked wepons and nothing happends.

Was the message wrong of unlock?
Or im I trying ot unlock it wrong?

I think every rank after PFC

Just disconnect and reconnect; the message to unlock a weapon only pops up then. You cannot unlock a weapon from BFHQ.

Thanks DVagabond works now but cant remember having to do it from the pop-up last time.But o well still got it.
