    a blurry picture of your desktop didn't help one bit

    I would say, delete your video.con file under your profile.

    Probably has something to do with resolution settings.

    One of the many reasons I won't own an LCD monitor

        Ok..have you tried the command line parameter to force a specific resolution?

        add:

        +szx {width} +szy {height}

            You add it to the command line.

            If you are unsure of what that means, then look for the 'Play Battlefield 2' icon and right-click it and select 'Properties'. In the 'Target' box, simply add:

            Code:
            +szx {width} +szy {height}
            ..to the end of what is already there editing in the native resolution of your LCD monitor.

                Re: Bf2 Wont Start Hmmm

                What resolution did you try?
                What is the native resolution of your new monitor?
                Are you using an application that forces refresh rates?

                Copy and paste the exact contents of your edited 'Target' box.

                Also, have you tried deleting your cache? or deleted the entire contents of My Documents\Battlefield 2?

                sometimes Bf2 doesn't like hardware changes.

                    And what did you do to get it working?

                    It's always nice to post the solution to your problem in case somebody else with the same issue comes along with the same problem looking for answers.
