bf2 does not run :s

hi there,


When i installed bf2 it runs for the firs time.. i do not change any settings. Then i turn of my computer and the next day i want to play again. So i start bf2. But then the screen turns black, and then it just returns to the desktop , i realy dont understand this. I hope sombody can help me. Cuz i am not very happy about this :cry: :cry:

What are your PC specs? It may be beacuse your computer isn't powerful enough to run the game.

EDIT-

BF2 is a very hungry game. It needs a lot of memory a decent gfx-card and a good processor to run it nicely. Many people have upgraded their computers for this game...

i dont think the problem is my pc.

specs:

AMD 3000+
1GB Geil PC3200, dual channel
GeCube ATI Radeon X850pro 256GDDR3
ASUS a8n-sli
Maxtor maxline 10, 200GB, 8mb cache

No, your specs are good. Have you made sure your resolution isnt be forced? May have loaded once but then you set your setting, and now the game loads again to the forced setting. It doesnt like that.

well,

i just figured out what it was.

when i install the patch ( wich must be done weirdly.. ) i see that the patch is not succesfull, and has been replacing some files. not all!!

so my problem is: i cant patch bf2....

how can i do this correctly..

If i just install the patch he gives a error: patching failes.
i looked on the forum and there is a solution. So i use this http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showt...atching+failes .

But this also doesnt work.. so i have no idea to patch bf2 correctly.. could someone help me? is there a way to put the files manualy in the bf2 folder??

From the looks of the screenshot of command prompt it looks like you are trying to apply patch 1.03 again on a BF2 install where an earlier patch install has already updated some of the files.

Have you considered uninstalling and installing again??

If you want to uninstall manually to be sure everything is removed look in here:

That's probably because you installed manually. try searching for it on your harddrives via search (F3). maybe it is in the TEMP dir or in the folder your run patch from, or in BF2 folder.

its a clean install.., no other patch has been installed before.
