It took me some practice, but I've managed to get this little manuver down. I can pull off a loop at about 600 ft above the harddeck.
Lastnight, I used it in a chopper on chopper dogfight for the first time... and it was sweet! Pulled up, over, and though the loop, dropping myself right on my foe's tail and blowing him outta the sky in very short order.
What suprised me was my gunner's reaction. We were on Battle Coms and he freaked out! First it was "What the hell are you doing??", followed by "Ah, I don't think that's a great idea!", and finally, "HOLY :censored:!! That was AWSOME!".
Now I'd call myself a perty good pilot. I don't think I'm great... but this guy couldn't stop going off about my flying!
Definatly made me
This made me think about who's doing what stunts with these suckers. I've got a break loop move that works well (do a loop, but when you are inverted, you roll out of it and come out goint 180 degrees from your original heading). I've tried a few variations on the ol Split S, but those tend to end with an abrupt meeting between my chopper and the dirt. Got a nose over to work, but you have to be rediculously high to pull it off.
So... who'd got some manuvers they'd like ta share? Does anyone have any information on RL helocopter tactical manuvers?
