hey, well, i got bf2 awhile ago and it worked perfectly for about a couple months. Then i stopped playing it for awhile. Then i started i wanted to play it again. So i strated it up and i loaded the lvl. But, now and then(usally when loading the second map) my computer resets. Then when i log into my windows user i will get a messgae saying "yuor system has just recovered from a serious error. My comp will only reset when playing bf2 and not on any other game. I have tried different things people have said like downloading the latest drivers, removing different things from my comp, reinstalling, lowering video setting's, etc. I have recently found something on my comp tht is called "project1" which slows down my comp tremendously and when i open the windows task bar and delete it, my comp works fine. I have been trying to get rid of it but havent had any luck yet. I also have been getting virus’s by scanning and have been deleting them as well. i put in a fan on the case so tht nothin is overheating too. The last thing some1 suggested was to do a complete format and reinstallation of my OS and umpdate my virus def's. I dont want to reinstall my OS quite yet. MY comp specs are: a ati radeon x800xl, a 3000+ amd athalon xp prosseser, and 1m of memory. I have been told those are good specs. So if any1 could help it would be much appreciated.

read the above link and see if that helps. Then delete the BF2 folder in my documents. The entire folder. Empty recycling bin and reboot. Load the game it will make a new folder and its contents. UPDATE your virus definitions and scan your computer. My computer was crashing due to an iomega driver. PUNKBUSTER is to blame. It dosn't like some drivers and until you find the responsible one, it won't work right. Its a pain in the ASS.
