I have no hardware problems, whatsoever..as a matter of fact, I'd
be willing to bet my specs out-do yours.. The problem all lies in
horrible programming, and a lack of effort to fix them.. The only effort
being made now is the effort to get SF expansion on the shelves, so
that we can all be paying beta testers for that as well..

As far as glitches go, as you mentioned, if thats the only one you
have noticed, you havent played that much.. I played 2 games tonight,
and killed 4 teammates because they showed up as friendlies... and of
course I was punished by all 4..

This game has more bugs in it than an ant farm..

BETAFIELD 2 is what it should be called..

oh, btw, my local game stop had 45 of their 100 initial sales of BF2
returned for refund due to compatibility issues.. AND I have noticed
that the number of RANKED servers has dwindled to 1/2 of what it was
just 3 weeks ago..

Your specs might be better but I have no problems with the game but that c4 thing.

Server browser that's been worse than the 1942 one since the demo, RED NAME TAG BUG, the ability to shoot someone 10 times in the torso when they're stationary and the game not recognize that you hit them....I don't see how that's a hardware problem. If you can track it to a hardware problem, please tell me so I can change it so I won't have all these bugs since the game runs, but even without a CTD or lag, it's still buggy.
Edit: And the C4 thing is a problem in the way the game handles user input all together, it's just the most common side-effect players experience. :)

As for the expansion...I would wait. BF2 should have taught everyone a lesson in pre-ordering. Wait until a couple of weeks after the release I say, get a good opinion and see which way the patches are going. Not to mention, I'd be willing to say after SF releases and EA gets their big sales on the release date, we'll see the patching of the mod tools too...

Well I just don't have those problems...and I can't wait because I ship out on Feb! so i'm getting it the first day its out if it sucks to bad.

Everyone has them, they're just more sporadic in nature at times. Sometimes I can shoot people and they die like they should, and othertimes I can watch missiles go through solid objects, see my teammates running around with enemy tags, etc. And I hope some mods release before you ship out so you get to play them. :)

I pre-ordered my copy last night. I need a change from bog standard BF2. The screenshots and video looked good and it'll be a while before any decent mods are out.

i put it on pre-order a few min ago with my discount its gonna be like rare wal-mart price only around $15 so i'll grab it

besides
money is made to be spent
they keeps on coming so i'll burn a few here and there won't hurt

the pre-order benefit has T-shirt instead of headphones now i wonder how ugly it will look
ofcourse it will look great in a crowd of bf2 fans but i'm one of only 2 people in this town who has a decent enough computer to run bf2

now i hope something like forgotten hope or POE mod doesn't beat SF i really hate to pay for a CD of cheap work and bugs
