F.E.A.R graphics

for those fortunate ones out there that have a monster PC capable of running F.E.A.R with all settings maxed out, can you give give us a comparision of the graphics in F.E.A.R compared to the other top engines at present and the best of what the next gen consoles have to offer?

i thought FEAR wasn't very minty at all, the only reaon it uses a lot of system is the special effects which are ok but nothing remarkable i think quake 4 was a much better game.

I honestly hope you aren't serious. If you are, then what the hell, man? The ending to F.E.A.R. was quite possibly the greatest gaming moment I, along with thousands of others, have witnessed.

And back onto topic, the engine it runs on is fabulous and it looks amazing. The only problem: the environments are a bit drab and bland, so its capabilities aren't pushed to the limits. However, the particle system is used very efficiently.

Why did you think I was kidding, glasseye? Every game that ends with an explosion as large as that with such a great cliffhanger for further installments is basically demanding a monumental status. And if you are telling me >this< isn't monumental, then something is seriously wrong with you. :p

i found it to be very disappointing.
its easy to put a big explosion in the end of a game, doesnt mean it was a good ending.
