Yes, this is the opposite of the guilt thread. Here's the first one that comes to mind for me:
I was playing Karkand at the MEC main base. One of our guys was crossing over to the train wreck (not by the bridge, he was using the other way) when an enemy jeep roles right up in infront of him. It has it's gun pointed right at him and and he screams "Enemy vehicle!" I release a shell from my tank turret and blow up the jeep, no doubt saving his life. He says "Thanks champ."
Another time was when I was playing Songhua Stalemate as anti-tank in a squad on VOIP. 3 enemy APCs role into our last outpost and capture it instantly, killing everyone in sight. My squad leader says "well, we lose" and I say "Not if I can do something about it." or something like that. I manage to destroy or force the driver out of all 3 (atleast 1 must have been damaged). I ultimatley got killed before I could cap the flag, but I felt like a hero until that point.
