ok, well bf2 has been workin perfectly for me and then out of nowhere i started to join a game and it said "cd key invalid". Now how can the cd key be invalid if during installiation it requires the cd key to install? plz help

Try reentering your cd-key.
/bf2/support/ frum. Run the battlefield2_code.exe program and enter your cd-key.
Then run this program to encrypt it :

If, in this key, your problem is that you only have "x9392" as the value (others have a long line of characters representing their encrypted key that follows x9392, if that's your problem you can actually circumvent EA's top notch encryption by pasting or typing your CD key immediately after x9392 with no spaces or hyphens (example: x9392BLAHBLAHBLAHCDKEY) and this should fix your problem.
