hopefully the next patch fixes the 'seeing team-mates as red (enemy) bug'
i think the patch will coincide with the expansion release.

1.1.2551.0 is the 1.03 not another patch .. they wont keep making patches now expansion packs r coming out at a price .. they will put patches on the eX packs .. so u pay for em

Personally, I won't need a hotfix for BF2 in a couple of weeks, because I'll be playing SF.

EDIT:...but I'm betting I'll need a patch for SF.

SF *IS* BF2. There's not much of an expansion, it's the same game engine, the same BROKEN game engine. SF or no SF, it needs fixin'. (and the "new" stuff in SF will probably need fixed too, I agree)

8. Will you fix the red nametag bug?
DICE Sweden are continually working on a variety of fixes and improvements for the core BF2 engine. Unfortunately we have not been able to completely resolve this particular issue in time for the ex pack release

in other words, they're a bunch or retards who not only cant fix the
problem, but dont give a damn either. The only thing EA cares about
right now is getting another 20-30 bucks from us with their expansion
pack, which is really the same game, but some new maps and weapon
changes..Nothing spectacular Im betting. Same play, Same Action,
Same bugs.

Im guessing they will include some of these fixes within the expansion
pack.. and possibly issue a separate patch fix for people who play
BF2 only.. of course these are all taking way too long for me.. the game
is down right pathetic to play anymore.. patch or not, the lame tactics
being used on a wide scale now adays.. Id give up at least 60% of my
teammates these days and not miss them at all.. and 90% of my commanders.

The game has just become extremely repetitive and silly...

what a shame, oh well, back to UT2004..

I'm sure I read somewhere (maybe the BF2Tracker forums) that before the release of BF2:SF there'd be a patch/hotfix.

oh great. Now there will be another 1000 threads (x2) i can't install the patch! this is gay.

EA US have confirmed that Dice are working on a patch (though we had been told that by EA UK about 4 weeks ago).

EA UK have said that it's unlikely we'll see a patch before SF and the servers in the USA with a different server version are SF servers.

Don't it make sense that the BF2 "SF" has gone Gold ( In production) that the 1.04 fixes BF2 leftover issues and ones found by beta testing BF2 "SF" ??

Now look for the 1.05 patch!!!!

We all have to accept (for now) that we the PC users, are the test bed for the production and enhancement of console gaming, meaning that a game is over tested in the form of the PC programing, then done over, for consoles.
