Choppy Terrain, awesome FPS then eventually disconnect?

I really can't figure this out. I have an awesome system, but sometimes things just don't go right.

    The situation is this..
I start playing BF2. First map I load is smooth as silk. The, gradually, as more maps load, i notice as I walk or drive, the terrain starts to get choppy as I move forward or back. (Not side to side)
The longer I play, the more choppy it gets. But my FPS stay steady! If I move side to side or look up and down, its still super smooth. Only when I walk or move forward/back do i get this choppiness in the terrain.
I noticed, eventually, I would lose my connection, as if my computer wasn't synched with the server. If I reconnect, i can play for 2 mins, then disconnect again. The only way to solve this is by restarting my computer and rejoining.

    My computer specs are:
    Athlon A64 X2 3800+ (2.48ghz)
    XFX Geforce 7800 450/1050
1 GB (2x512) OCZ Platinum ram *dual channel
    DFI NF4 UT Ultra D
    Antec Truepower 550

Help me. How can I fix this. Is it a BIOS adjustment? Ram requirement?
I run this game with the first 3 options on high, and the rest medium in the video menu.

    Thanks a bunch!

Hmmm, after reading the connection loss thread, could this be a sign of network traffic? Am I experiencing lag?

What baffles me is this goes away after a restart.

    Sigh...
