Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Could anyone help me figure out how to disable Commander mode in a BF2 game?
Either disable the mode completely, or set the "Time to apply for Commander" to 0 seconds.
thanks for the code. funny thing is that after I posted it, I found it on the forums. Go figure. n00b++
Why do I want to disable it? In my opinion, it unbalances the game when its only 5 v 5 or 6v6. Im testing rules for an upcoming BF2 tournament my organization is hosting at our next LAN party.
Just a side note since you're talking 5v5 or 6v6... We played our 1st 5v5 infantry only match this week (TWL). No vehicle at all. Commander mode was allowed - but NO artillery. So I was able to scan / UAV / supply all I wanted, but no arty. Being in a 5v5 I was also fairly active in play, not like playing an 8v8 and leaving commander's screen up all the time..
Actually, the original rules for the tournament were based around the 5v5 Infantry Ladder in the TWL. The Community didnt support the No Vehicle rule, so it was changed to 6v6 w/ vehicles.
Since the tournament was on LAN, and for some rather large prizes, it would be hard and rather irritating to control the "No Arty" rule. Players would "forget" or "accidentally use it" and in turn could disqualify their entire team. Since these tournaments are held only twice a year, disqualifying the team REALLY sucks.
So instead of leaving it to the players to remember side rules in a tourny, commander mode was just disabled instead. This way, no issues. Everyone joins, plays the game, and reports results. very easy.
The tournament was run this past weekend, and brought in 48 players from across the province. The tournament was full with 8 teams, and ran very well. In the end, [KOP] won the tournament. All their players also play in the BF2 clan n1.
