Re: Graphics card
So you have discovered the internet, and have discovered forums, but not online pricing websites?
For shame...

It depends. YOu need to tell us about your mother board. Do you have an AGP or PCI-E slot? Looks like you are looking at AGP type of cards. Newegg.com is always the best place to shop IMO. The prices are coming down. 6600 gt is an ok card. But you can't go wrong with paying a little bit extra for the 6800gt. Its worth the purchase!Comment

Re: Graphics card
I would definately invest in finding out whether u have PCI or AGP. If PCI, sorry, great graphic cards dont exsist.
If AGP, then you can go for the gold.
I would recommend shopping around, amazon isnt known for their videocard prices. I just dont know any co.uk price websites.
I would recommend getting the 6800GT AGP from BFG, XFX, eVGA, and PNY.Comment

Re: Graphics card
Instead of just Amazon, Check out these for your card.
I've used all four in the past and have no complaints.
Include the carriage into your price.

As far as identifying what slot you have. If you do not know the Model no. of Motherboard do a google seach for images of AGP and PCI-E. Match the pics with your the slot on your motherboard.
I think i'm right in saying the AGP slot is shorter than PCI-E, but don't quote me on it.
Hope this helps!Comment
