  • USB wireless adapter problems HELP!!!

My pc is hooked up to a DSL router using a USB wireless adapter. Im sharing a broadband connection with my bros laptop.
I need to know what steps i need to take to change my wireless connection to a hardwire connection, so i can change between wireless(for surfing the web) and hardwire(for gaming online) by plugging in the USB w/less or ethernet cable, get what i mean. I just got 20ms of cat 6 ethernet cable an i dont know how to hook it up properly.
    any help appreciated.

You probably only to enable the the router to let it act as DHCP on the ethernet connection and it should hand out IPs to your LAN card with no problems, just make sure that your LAN adapter is configured to fetch IPs dynamically/automatically.

Have you tried hooking your LAN adapter to the ethernet ports, to check if it isn't already enabled. If not take a look in your manual, or maybe find it online if you don't have one.
