So i was in a neighborhood EB store and its brought to my attention that "if you pre order more things for the 360 you are bumped higher on the list for the pre order" now me being on the second shipment with a ? date for shipment. So im like how do i know this is true so the manager tells me that its a promotion not being advertised to drive up sales and to weed out people that have only paid the 50 bucks for the pre order and nothing else....But heres the trick as it was told to me i was told to pre order as much as i could and only pick up what i wanted when it was released and the money i put down on all the crap and didnt want could be returned to me once it all arives....Sounds like to me that EB is stat pading and driving up there numbers in exchange for bumping people out of line...Anyone else think so? Or heard anything about this?....

Sounds like normal practice to me. Your forgetting the main point of a business is to make money. Aside from that as far as the business goes pre-orders mean nothing as far as sales go and EB would have no reason to pad their numbers in that way. -

Right but it isn't ethical to bump someone just because they are spending more. It should be first come first serve. If I order mine before Joe Schmoe who orders his 1 week later, it isn't fair to me if he gets it first just because he orders more crap to go with it.Originally posted by The QuestionComment
