Ok, First i had this problem...
(a) Whenever i started BF2 his error would come up:
Shaders/static mesh.fx not found!!!_DO_check your working directory_and_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP (really!!!)

(b)I tried re-installing but it did not work. I uninstalled through start>ea games> battlefield2> uninstall and reinstalled but that did not work. Then I tried uninstalling through add/remove programs. However that did not work either when i reinstalled.

(c)I uninstalled once more (third time's a try, right?) and u uninstalled it. I went to reinstall it and everytime i try the install window closes before finishing the first disc. So, i can no longer install the game, and when i fix this problem the error stating

Need Help!! Thanks for any input.

Bad install disc Try installing from a completely different set of discs to isolate the problem. If that install works then you have a discproblem. If it doesnt you have a problem with your system

How about posting system specs...Also make sure all your drivers are up to date.

I doubt it is a bad install disc because my game had been working before the shader error came up. One day i started bf2, and the error just popped up, i hadnt changed anything.

About those system specs.......
AMD Athlon 3200+ Venice
Asus A8N-E
Sapphire x850xt-pe
1GB Corsair RAM
480w power supply
aftermarket cooling on everything, running very good temps

Also, I have the newest Catalyst drivers installed for my GPU

How long after updating to the newest drivers did the problem appear? You might need to roll back your drivers.

Well, it wasa couple days after i had updated my drivers. I played with the new drivers at least over 6 times so i dont know why it would have randomly stopped working O_o (btw jimmy i aded u on x-fire)

im having the same problem and i cant seem to fix it at all, i tried system restore and everything!!!!!!1
