New Video card problem

Ok I purchased the geforce 6800 from newegg and I got it today. So I uninstall all my drivers Install the video card, then I load the driver they gave me and then I restart computer and it freezes on start. I dont know what to do I have tried doing it mutiple times and it keeps freezing right when I start up.

My specs:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

958MB RAM

ATI RADEON Xpress 200 Series [256mb] Integrated

You would probably also want to disable the integrated vid card in the BIOS, or at least set the Priority to be the slot where then new card is in, e.g. AGP or PCI Express.

First you should read the manual for your mother board, it explains this.

You access the BIOS by pressing DEL or other key, when the PC is started.

If you list the exact make and model number of your mobo, ppl can have a look in the manual online and give you better support, and tell you exactly where to look.

No, that is called uninstalling the drivers, not disabling the ingergrated grapics. You have to go into BIOS to disable the onboard graphics.
