Does anyone else have a rediculous load advantage?

I have an AMD Athlon XP overclocked from 2ghz to 2.4ghz, a 6800GT, 2 gigs of OCZ Platinum ram, and a pair of 10,000rpm SATA raptors in raid.

My question is does anyone else have a like a 45 second time-advatnage when a map loads because no one else has loaded yet.

In 16 or 32 player mashtur I can usually get over to the enemy base and neutralize the flag before anyone else loads/spawns so I get a 1st place and a gold medal with 1 point.

Most of the servers I've seen have a decent time before the game starts tacked onto the beginning, so once the server loads, and then everyone else loads, enough people are in to prevent someone rushing the important flags before everyone else gets in. I've seen one or two that were outrageously huge and you had like a minute after everyone logged in, but most seem to have it about right. I don't think the load advantage helps much on those servers, but ones without it I guess would work.

lol I have a 4 year old computer so I am always the last person to load a map.

Yeh m8, I am the same. On 64 Player Dragon Valley i can spawn at US Docks and be up at the flag on the hill before the majority of the rest of team have even spawned. And if you are squad leader the squad form on you.

Mine used to be the first one loaded, not as nice a system as yours. But this past week I have been the last one to load.... not sure why, but my new system should be here by the end of the week.

I think the best thing you can do is add ram.

I once had ridiculous load DIS-advantage, but now I seem to be up to par...maybe slightly above.

hehe i am always one of the first to spawn,get commander?i have noticed this but the other day i spawned and was going to the first flag and got there either on foot or but vehicle and was thinking no one here:hmm: dead server but then they all came ,i duno if its ping related where u play and on which server.I have bout 20 games+30 programs so 60-65 gig on a 160 gig drive and tweak my machine all the time so its not a defrag thing either .my internet conection is a bit faster than 512 i think its 10mps but it says 100mps on the icon because i have it thru network motherboard 1349 connect says 400 mps

I tab as soon as i get to the weapons screen every game, never have i been beaten on our own server.
If someone is 2-3 seconds behind me they have done well.

My rig paired with my 8mbit down/1mbit upload connection ensure that I am always first. I think it's kinda cheap, but it can be countered if the servers set say a 60 second start delay.

It is the 2 gigs of ram that is making us get in faster, not the connection or the Raptor HD's.

i actually had pretty quick load times before 1.03 came out. then i went from quicker than average to far below average. i recently upgraded my machine, though, and now i'm usually up and running before most of the others.

i usually take that time as an opportunity to grab a jet, tank, whatever

I'm also usually one of the first to load. Rather then capping a flag I prefer to hop in a jet, fly over to the enemy airfield, bail out, and steal one of their jets. Assuming I don't die this gives my team a huge advantage in the sky.
