When you are chasing jet and have no missiles, have you suceeded taking it down by shooting on wings (other place than engine). I have suspicion that engine is only place in jet where the damage counts.

Engine and cockpit are the 2 weak spots
hitting on the wings still do damage, but not as much. -

Airplanes have no weak points, the damage is the same no matter where you hit (the only vehicle in the game with location based damage is the tank according to DICE). The exception being if you've got the skill required you can angle up a bit and shoot down on the cockpit glass and kill the pilot out of the plane, though this only is viable if your opponent is very still.Comment
