    Defending a fix position

I hate it when I have set up a Hummer and I am sitting there with my 5o cal defending my position and some one jumps in the drivers seat and starts to drive off in it. I wish i could take out the keys so no one could take off with it. What makes it worst is that I am getting kills while I am there and I am doing my job. Anyone suggestions on this?

Ask EA to let you 'lock' the vehicles. However, transport vehicles can be used for better purposes, such as TRANSPORTING friendlies to attack a position.

put some AT mines at the front/back of the car. once they drive it away, they die, of course u get both a tk and a death yourself.

Put claymores around the hummer... so when they approach... they die.

It's annoying when you're just about to mow down a chopper with the gun, and someone 'helpfully' jumps in and drives you half way across the map and off a cliff to instant death.

Thanks champ, I owe you one! :P

And that statement is one of the root problems with BF2. "Attack."

The thread starter was trying to do something maybe .01% of the BF2 players do these days, and that's DEFEND something. That gun on the top of the Humvee is just as useful defending a flag so your team (a word most people don't recognize, unless speaking in terms of who owes them something) doesn't lose it, thus losing tickets and spawn points, thus lowering their chances of winning.

I respect anyone who actually tries to defend a point instead of rushing to the place with the most bullets flying like everyone else. The BF2 maps are so confined and the flags so close, you don't even need the light vehicles to transport you, it'll take you a whole 30 seconds to get to the next flag on foot in most cases. Defending, I say, is more essential to victory. The lack thereof is exactly why when on a map like Sharqi or Karkand, when the enemy has one flag left and you're like "YES! SPAWN CAMPING TIME! MORE POINTS AND WE'LL WIN!", 2 minutes later, you're surrounded and the enemy has more than half the flags back. No one is defending those flags, they're all trying to kill as many people as possible by rushing the nearest flag, not paying attention to the flags behind them. A good fix for this would be supply lines, but obviously EA forced it's removal for unknown reasons, none of which were probably good.
