    Veteran Engineer Badge

I need help guys! It seems no matter how hard I try, I can't get 10 Repair Points in a game. I personally think the system for "support" points it messed up. Medics and Support can toss handy Kits out that net them a full point if someone takes them and they can quickly recharge their power meters to toss out more. While the Engineer has no such kit to toss out for Quick Repairs, has an extremely slow recharge rate and only gets points for vehicle repair if theres somebody in them! Not to mention having to wait for a Spec Ops to come and blow away your essential support systems (Commander UAV/SCAN/ARTY) is just bad tactics.

Why no love for the poor Engineer?

That is 100% True, Im NEVER Engineer, just because of that, I can barley get any points. Im horrible with their shotty, and mines, I always get TK's, and reparing never gives me any points.

i think the only thing i can say for you is jump in a vehicle and follow a tank or something around on a large map. I remember back in the old standards for just getting the basic engineer 7 points was a pain in the butt, so...really just try getting in a car or something and follow team mate vehicles around. If you notice your command assets are down, drive that car right up next to them and pray you get 1 freaking point for fixing the things

Plus the fact is you actually need to use all of Full Repair Gauge and then another 10% just to get ONE Repair point! This wouldn't be bad if it Recharged faster and/or things were repaired at a MUCH higher speed. I waste 30 seconds for a point while other "support" classes are spamming packs and racking up 10+ points easly!

i got my basic engineer badge when me and my friend we camped at enemies main base and we were sticking together in a tank and an APC both of us were engineers so we repaired for each other. i dont like spawn camping but that's the only way that i could get that badge so i came up that idea with my friend. i think i'll do the same thing again for the veteran engineer badge.

            Re: Veteran Engineer Badge

I managed to snag 10 points during a round... before I hit the required 15 hours. :\
My best advice is to find some players with actual brains that stick together in an armored collum. Be their repair-b!atch be staying IN a vehicle and repairing several at a time. That gets you past the problems with slow re-charge.

Good luck. I haven't made a serious try for it for awhile. It's too painful to get up to 9 just as the match ends!!

              Re: Veteran Engineer Badge

It is tough, but I have managed it 5 times now...four 10's and one 11.

I even got a 19 one night by busting my ass, fixing Spec Ops influxes non stop on Karkand.

I also previously thought it was impossible, but rather it is exceedingly difficult and should be lowered.

The 25 for Expert on the other hand...I can see someone getting this only after numerous failed attempts, a precise server population, and specific plans being hatched...or they simply use the ******** self damaging Vodnik method to get it the cheap way.

And to be honest, I think everyone should use the BS method for the Expert, but should earn the Vet the right way. 25 is ********, 10 is definately doable.

I got 15 (and the badge) on sharqi... (as US)

few players and some nice agressive Spec ops guys... it was just one of those rare rounds where everything worked

got mine on oman... drove a boat to the little island with the USMC artillery and repairs it... the enemy just kept destroying it...
i got 4 repairpoints just repairing my own boat...(you can get repairpoints for repairing you own boat if you are in the passenger seat... EASY!!!)

                    1. join a 64 karkand server with less than 30 ppl
                    2. surely, three ppl from your team will be in armor the whole time
                    3. jump in a jeep (as engy of course)
                    4. follow armor

30 or less ppl in a 64 karkand server will last more than 40 minutes. enough to get 10 repair points. that is, if your team does NOT suck and let the other side capture all the bases...

If i see someone driving close behind a tank, obviuosly repairing him, i'll shoot him first. That way the tank won't get repaired.

That is if the other tanker misses his first shot or doesn't do much damage.

                        Re: Veteran Engineer Badge

I received mine on Kubra Dam as a MEC, 30 people on a 64 map, there is a lot of armor to follow around for repairs, and they blow up your assets continually. It took almost 45 min to finish the map, and it took the whole time to get the required 10 repair points. I don't see any conceivable way to get the expert badge....obviously there is a way since people have it, but you got me how.

Sweet, I got the Veteran Badge yesterday, but by a means best taken in only extreme circumstances. I cycled through the Special Operations and Engineer Classes and proceeded to blow up and repair our own Commander Assets. Sure it carried a hefty Team Point fine, but it won't result in a kick because your not Tking anybody. I'm just tired of the Engineer being so disrespected by other players that complain about not having repairs, then RUNNING ME OVER while I try to repair them. The worst was one guy who kept spamming for Repairs and as I approached him he kept driving away!

EA needs to fix the Engineer Class, NOW!
