PS3 vs XBOX 360

I haven't had time to research the specs on the upcoming systems so I'd love to see some informed members here argue over which system will be better and why. Since I am newly married and a homeowner, I'll probably only be able to maintain my PC and pickup one new console. I will be getting the PS3 mainly because I know FFXII and the MG titles will be with Sony. Anyhow, what system will you get and why?

lol im not gonna waste time arguing between two systems that noone has yet. however, ive always been a big xbox fan and was a beta tester for xbox live many years ago, so naturally, im gonna get a xbox 360. However, ive never had a playstation, but if the specs that have been preleased about PS3 are true, it looks like im gonna be getting one. however the latest release estimates on PS3 are about 9 months from now, and apparently the PS3 is very hard to develop for. (harder than the xbox) It will be interesting to see what games they push out at launch. either way, as of now, the systems are both way more powerfull than anyones desktop.

I think the latest release is 22 months after xbox as covered by the thread below.

As far as the development of games issues, ps3 being harder than xbox360. The discussions were the same for the ps2 vs xbox.

22 months is a long time. Enough time to duplicate the 360 and make improvements? My hands will be full with BF2 and SF for a while still, so I think I'll be able to wait. There really aren't any 360 titles that are 'must haves' for me right now. I guess some hands on time could change my mind.

i personally think that they will both be good. They will increase the market of games by ten-fold, and help the PC becom a better system too. Also it will include many people who cannot afford a high end PC, thus allowing a larger gaming community from which we can all thrive from.

HEres the diffrence PS3 ---->> 22 MONTHS Xbox 360 -->> November 'o' PS3 killed xbox in specs though.

I was talking to my uncle who's been working on the ps3 for over a year now and he said that the stats they keep releasing are way beyond truth, that the ps3 is going to be an underachiever as of right now, of course there's nearly a year before release.

Yah well my Uncle who has been working on the Ps3 for over Five years says that he is gonna get a 360 cuz playstation blows balls......its as simple as that 360 all the way
