Crashing to the desktop! grrrrrrrrrrr

Can someone please give me to advice on how to fix my pc from crashing to the desktop when I am playing BF2. I did have the forceware drivers of 81.85 and reverted back to 77.79 because of the game crashing during play. Once I went back to the older drivers, it helped, but it is still happening way too often. Yes I did uninstall the drivers before installing new ones. Both times. I originally was using the 77.72 and they seem to work better than these. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Using the driver that works best for you is fine. Roll back to 77.72 if those gave you less trouble, unless you need the newer updates for another game to work correctly. Anyway, this belongs in the support forums.

I experienced this before and after the 81.85 drivers. I still haven't seen an explanation for this.
