Virtual Memory Too Low

I was playing BF2 for a while tonight. When I exited out of the game and checked my toolbar, I noticed that there was a message saying, "Virtual Memory Too Low." What is virtual memory? Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what's causing it and how I can fix it?

i believe it means that u dont have enuff harddrive space?

I have 74.49 GB total. 54.49 GB of that is free. This isn't enough?

Virtual Memory is also called a page file, it is for the system. Because BF2 requires so much memory the system can use the harddrive as RAM (all be-it slower) to store files temporarily for quick access. Your "Virtual Memory" should not be set above 1.5x your amount of physical RAM.

OK, so how do I set my virtual memory? Also, does virtual memory permenantly affect my harddrive, or does it get deleted when I'm done playing?
