People who kill people before they can move obviously have no talent other then pulling a trigger. Hmmm now you say i can't think logically and make a plan how to kill him....yeah cause that .2 millisecond window where i can't even move my character is a real big opportunity to pull of an amazing matrix like whip around dodging bullets whipping out my knife and spiraling towards the ground stabbing him in the eye...MORON! Same thing you were doing when you replied to my post...whined about someone saying what you were doing was wrong. Was I whining? Not really...i was simply explaining why people who spawn camp shouldn't and what skill level they are if they doand it made you even more defensive...spawn campng is not a strategy...its taking adventage of a process that happens in video games. In real life does someone just appear amazingly in front of you out of the ground? NO! you see him running over that hill 800 feet away or bump into him as you both turn a corner. Whoever is best and sees the other first is gonna win. Thats even ground.
finally you asked what if it is the last spawn spot? whoever said that? everyone on this thread has been speaking about spawn killing in general. I more specifically think about some jackass in karkand sitting near the fence mowing people down left and right before they can move. If it is the final spawn point on a map and your team lost then in my view thats perfectly acceptable...or you are simply running to cap a flag and a guy spawns right in front of you...kill his ass...then cap the flag. Sitting there and padding your own stats cause its easy is not cool and unacceptable. I'll tell ya right now since you said I am talentless if that guy happens to be reloading and gives me just 1 second to movehe is no longer spawn camping I guarantee that.

no but the nice 15 second countdown SHOULD be enough time for you to click another spawn point dot (or is it...lol....hmmm). so you can sneak up behind the person spawn camping. there is no other spawn you say? oh, well like you said... you consider that already losing. so whats the problem here.. you should be able to deal with him.. its not like you have to keep spawning in the same god damn place every time... and keep getting killed...you can spawn somewhere else.. and if there is nowhere else.. dont complain because the other team earned that right.

But why shoud I have to waste my time spawning waaay up the map and run back down 3 minutes to where he is just cause he is a jerk? Just to kick his ass jump on his dead corpse and move on. he'd get ****ed if i spawn camped him right? Have some respect and treat people the way you want to be treated. the official rules of play cannot mandate everything. some things are left up to good sence and fair play. however some few will stretch the limit if rules and do anything just short of a direct violation of the rules to win.the question is should you position yourself in a spot with the specific intention of killing a spawning player knowing he will spawn there.he cannot defend himself and you will kill him over and over if he does not have any other alternative.the game is about the engagement the skill the confrontation all of which is nonexistant when you spawnkill. hopefully BF2 will give each side a protected spawn in the future, i hear they are, and this will become a moot issue.in my opinion for what it is worth a player should be able to spawn get oriented plan his stratergy and begin to proceed before being engaged.that is why we spawn, spawn killing negates the very reason we have the spawning process.

tooquick and i are on the same page, he speeks intelligently about the subject and makes several valid points.players like metallicaguitrst always spit out the same vial message with no substance.noone can rationalize spawnkilling as fairplay and the very point is this is an arcade game, not life not war or anything real.a game and games have rules of fair play that must be continously adjusted because of people like metallicguitrst who will do anything to win even if it is unethical as long as they can fit it within the language of the rules.i have been in high level competition all my life and have seen him many times.if you cant win the game playing fairly victory is empty and means nothing.why would anyone want to win in this manner it proves nothing and destroyes the reason E.A. games created the spawn.it amazes me how they riddicule everyone that takes exception to their pathetic behavior in game. they can express but everyone else who disagrees is a ***** or something else more vial and ignorant.i have played in Karkand against some organized clans that have a stratergy around spawnkilling.they deploy themselves at every spawn point on the map and kill you the instant you spawn.you all know the maps where you are shot the instant you spawn over and over.with 20 deaths 17 of them were spawn kills.do any of you think this is some coinsidence, not hardly its planned spawnkilling and ruins the game.as in life here we will be forced by people like the above to make rules that cover every aspect of play unfortunately assholes will always be assholes.

well dude, when i play the game.. if someone does something like sneak up and knife me i tell them good knife... or good snipe, or whatever they did. and even though i do that... i can really care a less if they spawn camp. i lose respect for them because its pretty cheap, but hey.. they chose to do it. i cant tell them what to do.. its part of the game... so i deal with it. i have to admit i have done it a couple times (in the demo before i bought the actual game). so i really dont mind. its just funny when you kill the people heading over to your base before they even get there.. so they just wasted a run from their base to ours. and most maps, the spawns arent THAT far. maybe 1-2 min running time at most.

Take this player named "marrr" for instance. He has less than 1500 kills with any infantry weapon, but has 25000 kills with armor alone (100,000 global points). This tells me he has absolutely no skill whatsoever...(I've played with him and all he does is spawncamp on the USMC side.)

I have no problem with spawnkilling if it involves taking a flag, but when someone sits there behind our spawnpoint and plays the game with his mouse only, all respect is lost. It infuriates me because I enjoy Karkand, just not when I have an average life span of .003 seconds.

BF2 is repetitive, boring, and full or lame players.

I took it back for a refund yesterday. I used the dough to buy a real
"BF2" -> Battlefront II. It plays great, bug free, and has far far far less
kiddies who think badges, medals and awards are real <- lmao.

Battlefield 2 is the kiddie playground of first person shooters.

Spawn camping uncappable bases is against our server rules. The side with the uncappables start off with a disadvantage as it is and nobody enjoys getting spawn camped. When all the flags are taken you can spawn camp to your hearts content.

Basically and I will use the term noob players camp uncappables because its the only way they can get kills. The stats system further encourages this. We decided for the enjoyment of all players to disallow spawn camping uncappables. If the base is cappable then anything goes to take the flag over.

I got a beauty of a little smack-tard on my case last night for capping a CP that he was camping!

Yup, Karkand. The Hotel. My SL was busy spawn camping the alley closest to the flag (we all know it, the alley of death) when I joined. I figured he had perty good position to take out any baddies I might encounter, so I charged up the ladder to the roof and hopped over the the flag.

Instantly, this guy starts complaining over chat (thanfully he didn't seem to havea mic). "WTF are you don't?? DON'T CAP THE BASE!!!".
"Hu?"
"DON'T CAP THE BASE YOU NOOB!"
"Er, yeah".
So I capped it.
And was promptly kicked out of the squad.

The kicker is that we were loosing. We didn't hold any CPs. We were gonna get ROLLED and this guy is all POed at me because I wreaked his spawncamping!

Couldn't help myself...
I TKed him.
BOY did he react baddly to that!
