Respawn, only to find about 5 of my team mates standing around the heli-pad shooting away at eachother. Two main offenders, can't rmember the names, were blasting anybody who came near the heli-pad, and laying mines and C4 everywhere. More KABOOMS.

Chopper respawns, what do you know.. dumb and dumber get in. They then proceed to circle the spawn point, killing anoyone who spawns there.

The less intelligent of the two had something like -200 before I left. And mind you, I left before the round was over.. I would hate to thik what his score was like at the end.

But, why should he have even made it to the end? Why should they have made it to the end?

BECAUSE SOME GENIUS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO DISABLE KICK VOTES!

    Their logic confuses me.
the logic behind it is kick votes never work in the first place.... Ive logged almost 400 total hours in the game , seen countless vote kicks and know what? not a single one of the countless vote kicks ended in a kick. The vote kick is disabled because is 1. it sucks ( in their infinite wisdom the developers forgot that players who opt out of votes shouldnt be included in the final tally meaning you will never ge the amount of votes needed.
    2. Because it never works its a waste of time and an annoyance , its a noob tool that is used when players are owned or just cant measure up to the enemy they fight so they vote kick him.
Actually you have a much better chance of not seeing the player you vote kick around if you ....... disconnect from the server. Vote kick... "it aint happenin!"

Re: There is no reason to have kick vote disabled!

The voting system was ill-conceived right from the get-go. I, too, have never seen a player voted off - even an established menace - because those being asked to vote usually don't care and / or they've not been personally affected by the bad behaviour.

I remember someone once iniatiated a kick-vote against me simply because I was doing well and because I had plans to finish up after that round, I thought it'd be fun to try and get myself voted off. I spent half the round imploring people on both sides to vote "Yes" and still the kick-votes failed.

The logic behind the system is inherently flawed, anyway. Often people don't vote because they're not informed of the circumstances that prompted the vote-kick, and even when they are informed, how do they know the instigator is being truthful?

One option would be to have something like a "good behaviour / bad behaviour" merit system (independent of the current points system). Every time someone is guilty of bad behaviour, you're at liberty to issue them a 'demerit' point. If some idiot is ruining the game for everyone, he'll quickly accrue enough demerit points to be axed from the server.

Meanwhile, good behaviour could be reward with merits. I'd LOVE to issue merit points to people who have the decency to wait the half a second it'd take to pick me up before driving off ... and I'd also love to issue demerit points to the players who don't give a damn about their teammates (especially those "part-time" Commanders who never use the assets). Perhaps at the end of the round, a player could be awarded something for receiving the most praise from his teammates, thereby giving people added incentive to consider the team. At the same time, those consistently guilty of bad behaviour would ultimately find themselves kicked from the server. Such a system could encourage good behaviour and, in equal measure, strongly discourage bad behaviour.

I'll have to think it through in greater detail but you get the idea. Clearly the "vote kick" system is utterly useless, so an alternative is worth considering.

Of course, as with virtually all ideas proposed for this great game, I realise it'll never, ever be implemented.
