    ATI Video Card help

If anyone has a solution to this problem it would be a great help it's drivin me nutz.

    Problem:

I have a ATI X800XTPE AGP Video card that for whatever reason when in a tank the vehicle under the recticle disappears when about 200mtrs away..if u turn left or right its there point at it and it dissappears.

Tried from 5.6 to 5.10 vid drivers both omega and standard, m\b drivers turning the settings from low to high on the card. So an answer to the problem IF there is 1 would be greatly appreciated.

PS yes i did use the search fucntion but got no real answers.

I would say this is a ram issuse. I have an X700 maxed out on high and I do not experience this. Processor speed and type also may play a part.

Sometimes firewall issues create problems. I was having lots of freeze and conex issues and I found out that my Zonealarm firewall was having an issue with BF2 (imagine that) so I just shut off outbound firewall protection it has cleared up. BF2 has more conex issue than I have ever seen in ten years of playing online games.

It might be a firewall issue, or perhaps you just need to delete the folders in the "Cache" folder, and run a defrag. That seemed to clear it up for me. A bigger initial virtual memory allocation couldn't hurt either, if it's not already bigger than system default.
