Building a Computer...

Hey my first post here... problem is that i cant play BF2 on the comps i have right now and there is absolutely no way to upgrade my comps to those standards so im going to build my own...

First thing is first... i saw a post here that explained which video cards, ram, processor speed and everything that explained which would run on low mid high and insane i cant find that...

What would be the minimum to be on high?

Also im planning on the system in my signature but dont know FORSURE as of yet..

Please point me in the right direction

Whats in your sig will work fine, but bump up the watts a little on the power supply

Whats in the sig is fine, but I'd try to bump that 6800 up to a gt, or maybe even a 7800gt.

This may be coming from ibuypower or ill get a smaller system from them and buy fron newegg....

i like that set up except that i would take out Works Suite and get MS Office. And yes XP Pro is must!!!!!!!!!

I like your setup as well!

Now another question... about the motherboard... would you change is for anything causre i think i may need a larger one... will it suffice?

Also i want more responses so i know thisll run smooth...

Also what settings you think i could get with this setup? and will the 6800GT hold me back from the extreme settings?

I dont think ill use the wireless adapter but it comes free so what the heck

From the top...

Power Supply; The PSUs that come with the cases are total crap and are likely to fail on you sooner or later. If you want I could recommend one.

Motherboard; Asus + AMD = disaster. If you want, I could also recommend other motherboards, cheap ones as well as expensive ones.

Otherwise, you seem to have done your research and the system looks awesome, especially that 4000+...beautiful .

yea that set up will run all high setting no problem. if you r monitor is bigger than 19inch go with 7800 gt if not you wont see any difference using 6800 or 6800 gt

If you do get that motherboard, bet prepared to spend more money, cause you'll have to get the exact right type of ram and psu, or it won't work.

Please tell me what kinda PSU and motherboard you reccomend? any other things you would like to say about the rig? ill make changes as needed...

Can anyone tell me why? also... maybe some screens of different times when the size of screen and vid card matter?
