Loading BF2 then boots me back to Desktop!

I have no idea why but today when I tried it, BF2 is trying to load as the screen is turned into full screen, and then it just boots it back to desktop. I have tried reinstalling but that did not work. Does anybody have any solutions? I am begging you all...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Spec:
A64 3200+ Winchester
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
BFG GeForce 6800 OC AGP
1GB DDR400 RAM
Windows XP Pro SP2

When I had the same problem, all I did was delete my Battlefield folder from "My Documents" and then I tried to get back in and it was fixed........had to retrieve my username and password again, but everything was fine

Yes you're right mahill3. I reinstalled again, removing profiles and everything. Now it's fixed :) Yay! Thanks guys!
