    Problems with Logitech Freedom 2.4?

I'm looking at buying a new joystick. I currently have the Logitech Attack 3, and can't stand having Z-axis control. I can get a logitech freedom pretty cheap, but I don't want to waste my money on it if they have lag issues or someother problem that would make it be a waste of money.

So does anyone here have one? If so are they good/bad/indifferent?

    Cheers for the help

ps. I did try and search on this and other than finding people especially keen on the 3D Pro or the Sytech I couldn't really find a good answer....

Fairy nuff, I think I might also, it's just that the 2.4 wireless is really cheap.

Do you have any problems with the 2.4? Or is it just that you like the Evo better for feel?

      Cheers :)

2.4 will not last as long i had to trade mine in after 6 months for a new one!
Also, like all other logitech control it has problems with you going backwards at the start of a round sometimes!

Both are good but the evo is being clearanced out at best buy for 22$ if you can find one!

I have the freedom 2.4 and it works just fine for me in BF2. You need to use the Profiler software to set a nice deadzone to avoid things like going backward accidentally.

The only caveat w/the 2.4 is that it goes to sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity (to conserve battery life). So you just have to remember to push a button to wake it up whenever you hop in a aircraft.
