Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
when you come to a flag and the enemy support class guarding the flag opens up on you, your sure to die then suddenly the firing stops.
your in a tank and right next to the flag (for some unknown reason) and you change your view to 3rd person to notice theres unblown c4 on your tank and a dead guy next to you.
you are fighting at a distance with a squad of enemy and you see somebody respawn off another guy, moments later you see the enemy squad leader go down then the medic go down when trying to revive the squad leader. the rest of the squad stop shooting and gets behind a object. you fly over the enemy main base in a aircraft and see all aircraft sitting on spawn pads.
seeing enemy troops/vehicles searching for sombody in the brush near the runway. (always satisfying knowing they using resources to kill you while your teams are still being used for taking flags)
:)
It's the things the other players don't notice, thus being the reason why we are considered a "wasted" class.
How does being a support man contribute when you throw all your ammo packs on the carrier spamming 'need ammo?', then go charging into battle with your finger holding down the mouse for 5 seconds straight, overheating the gun and then dying immediately for lack of a working weapon?
How does being an assaulter contribute when you only know how to use the grenade launcher whilst jumping 6 ft in the air with an enemy at your feet? you only get 4 projectiles, then you're without a weapon, and so you die!
How does.... blah blah.
Each class does contribute in its own way in the hands of somebody who knows how to make good use of its strengths and weaknesses. In the hands of a drongo, any class will make very little, if any contribution to YOUR teams score - they help the other team get your tickets down pretty quickly though.
Every kill counts, no matter who does it. When sniping I contribute more than all those wannabe pilots holding their d***s at various airports. I'm not saying that Its annoying when you're minding your own business capturing a flag etc. and suddenly a sniper pops you in the eye. But I'm not complaining, I respawn and kill the f**ker. Or get 1 in the other eye
For those of you who dont think Snipers contribute.
How about you try it for a few days. Learn the guns, tactics, and skills required to be a successful Sniper then come back and tell us they dont contribute.
If I can come in half way through a round on Mashturr and score 31 kills to 4 deaths with my M24.... FROM ONE POSITION can you say that is not contributing?
GOOD snipers can keep entire groups of enemy pinned down and not wanting to move for fear of having their heads shot off from over 100m away.
People complain that snipers aren't useful on infantry heavy maps. Which i find absolutely idiotic. Snipers are there to kill infantry. Where do you find more infantry than a map like Karkand, Mashturr or Sharqi?? Any half decent sniper should be able to make massive numbers of kills on maps like that with no trouble at all.
I'm not saying im a legend sniper or anything (only ranked 6,800ish) but still. My experience is i do alot more for my team than most Engineers, ATs or Assaults REGULARLY.
good lord you are so clueless it is just funny
Let me tell you something and you are probably not going to believe this but it is true. The gamedynamics are very unpredictable which means some unlikely scenarios *are* possible nontheless. example: suppose I am a sniper, lets say I am a noob sniper even. I lay in my, not so well chosen, hiding spot. I manage to kill nobody. Then an enemy soldier who was on his way to cap a flag finds me and kills me, in the timespan he needed for that some of my teammates got to that flag before he does and manage to defend it, it turns out to be a crucial flag that wins the round.......unlikely? yes impossible? no
my point in case you missed it is that you simply cant say snipers or any other kit do not contribute to the course of the battle. There are other ways to contribute to a battle besides kills.
I said "when used offensively" as in not lying around in some obscure corner of the map trying to pick of stragglers.
Ofcourse there are many skilled snipers who get many kills in this manor but if you use the sniper offensively in a squad ie. not lying atop rooftops half the round, he can do alot of good when moving with the squad.
This is a bit unorthodox for a sniper but the accuracy he lends to the fight can often win fights.. at least in my experience :)
