Anyone with a Logitech G5 or G7 help! Does BF2 recognize the tilt wheel?

I just got my Logitech G7 today and I am trying to get it to work with BF2. Everything works fine except for that BF2 wont allow me to map any buttons to the left and right tilt buttons. I keep the Logitech software (Setpoint) running in the background and I have tried mapping different commands to the tilt buttons (I moved the back button from the thumb button to the tilt) in setpoint but it has no effect in BF2. If I run BF2 without Setpoint running in the background then the tilt still doesn't work. I use XP and have logitech mouse dirvers. I would really like to use the left and right tilt buttons so please help.

    Thanks!

But you must have the name of this program on your computer since it must still be running?

        Hi..Talus here

Since I don't own a G5 or G7, I'm not sure how to get the tilt wheel mapped.

But when and if that info is available, it'll be here:

I have a G5 mouse and I've had the same problems until I changed a few settings in the setpoint software.

Open your setpoint software settings. Go to the "chess piece" tab on the left and click on it.

          1. Game Detection - Enabled
          2. Select Mouse - Apply game settings when game is detected (I think this is the one that you really need checked)
          3. Game Mode Settings - All selections checked.

After I made these changes, like I said the "apply game settings when game is detected" seems like the one you need. In turn you'd also need "game detection" checked. After I made these changes the key assignments I made in setpoints software worked in BF2.

Try these out and let me know if it works for you.

Awesome it worked! In the game mode settings it is that bottom left button on the 4th page (chess piece tab) in the Setpoint software that had to be checked for it to work (I tried each one individually). The button says something like "keep scroll wheel settings in game". Game detection had to be enabled too. Also, on the first page of the Setpoint software where you map the buttons it is a good idea to create a profile just for BF2.exe and do the mapping there so that you dont change your mouse functionality outside of BF2.

            Thanks for your help!
