Indeed. Airplanes are ruining the game. I think that DICE has made the right decision in removing airplanes in the expansion. Or at least that's what appears to have happened.
come one people, i understand A LOT of people hate planes, but its not like you run into maps that always are big enough to have planes on them 24/7, heh there has even been times when i have been on a 64 player map server and no-one else was in a plane, or even AA!, it was just me cruisin around in the air until i got bored of no Air-to-air combat and i went ground combat:laugh:

This guy is the extreme example that Jets do affect the Gameplay in BF2, if you're a good Pilot in this game you will get High Ranked in no Time wile f***ing off a lot of infantry and Helos.

Why don't you go play Joint Operations? Very similar to BF2 with no Planes!!!
This game is WAY stacked in favour of jet pilots. He just has to know what he is doing and fly jets 99.9% of the time to achieve those kinds of scores.
Sounds like he is enjoying the game...to each his own. Sounds to me like he's be more happy playing a combat flight sim online. I'd go nuts doing nothing but fly a jet every round.
If anything, it's entertaining reading. Just skip the flames and read his responses, they are priceless. A few of the self-aggrandizing comments he makes are "Grand Master Aviator" and "e-celebrity". I'll reserve any comments such as 'asshat' or 'clown' and let you decide.
Heh yeah, all too many times the team I'm on has NO worthwhile pilots. One guy like this could turn that around in a flash.
But yeah, planes are definitely unbalanced in this game due to the lack of unguided AA. In order to shoot down the jets from the ground, you have to rely on the guided stingers or AA vehicles (or one HELL of a lucky shot from a tank). In BF:V, the ZSU would chew up a jet and spit it out. In BF42 the planes flew slow enough that mounted MGs and any of the AA/flak installations were sufficient. In BF2 the jets just move too fast and the AA missiles suck so there's really nothing that can take one down aside from another jet. Anything else in this game - from a tank to a full Blackhawk - can be taken down by a competant squad. Against a jet, a competant squad is just an easy 6 kills.
