Suck my @$$, if you have a GEforce 5500, don't get these drivers they will turn your graphics into Shat and give you lag for days. And no, I'm not asking for any $mart@$$ comments on How I should go invest a couple of G'z into my PC and and add 5 Gigs of RAm. Just trying to drop some useful Knowledge for the 5500 users.

I didn't have lag on my 5900 Ultra, it actually increased framerates, but Karkland was difficult to play because the fog would disappear and reappear whenever I moved. Went back to 77.77 drivers without problems.Comment

didn't try out that Driver so, anyone knows if this is a coding Prob or is this Driver just rubbish?

People with older graphics chipsets are much more likely to experience problems with new drivers.
There is nothing wrong with the 81.85 drivers.
I recommend older driver versions for older chipsets. Find a driver version you like...and stick with it.Comment

OMIN, u are dead on, thats exactly what My screen was doing, and it was making very hard to see Tangos and giving me lag because of it. I went back to the Drivers on my Disc I got with my card and I'm good ta go. But I liked the drivers right before the 81.85 ones. Anyone know which drivers these were before 81.85 and where I can get em? I can't find em on the Nvidia site.

The official drivers before these were 77.77, which work fine for me.

thx for the info... 5500 user here and I noticed strange things, like fog disappear/re-appearing, texture issues, and things in the distance behaving wierd...reminded me of when Steams last patch effed up CSS and I used dx 7.0, only to see boxes and barrels materialize in front of me lol... directx 8.1 fixed that, now I'll roll back to the 77.77's or 78.01's and take it from there.Comment

Yep , dead on too misfit, I have a 5500 also. IT seems to only be aproblem with us measly 5500 users. Don't get me wrong, the 5500 runs this game damn good for EA saying it doesn't support the 5500. But the new drivers just aren't friendly with the 5500.Comment
