bf2 crash to desktop without even starting!

hi i recently got a x800gto and it worked really gd, i sumhow managed to install the drivers and delete old ones (didnt know what i was doin )

but today i was trying out some modding, on sp then wen i went on mp i was blocked, i forgot to put it back to normal. wel after a while i was racking my brain after changing everything back and even replacing my object.server zip thing with my backup one, stil didnt work so i thought o wel, time for a new install .

so after a while ive installed it agen and went to play it, double cliked, nothing happens, double clik agen, the bf2 box thing comes up, then to full black screen, a bit of stuttering and my pc making noise(normal noise btw) it goes back to desktop, without a glimpse of movies or anything, i try a few more times and the same thing happens.
i certainly didnt install it wrong. so i checked out the ea helper thing and most signs point to my video card either that it isn't compatible or the driver isn't up to date. but on my ati catalyst control center it says its "catalyst version 05.10" which to my understanding is the latest one.

now im beginning to think that this could be some sort of heating problem because earlier today it would cut out of a sp match suddenly and go to desktop. which i jus thought was cos of my crappy modding

so neway (soz for such long post) i just wan know:

1. is it cos of my video card, either its not compatible or not up to date

2. or, is it a cooling problem because i dont think i can find out, all that motherboard moniter and everest stuff doesn't detect my graphics card or cpu heat

advice about the x800gto and confirmation that it works would be greatly apperciated

im not sure wat is wrong but i doubt that it is cooling problem. my old computer had cooling problems and it justmade the game slower but not crash so i dont think tis coolign problem

wel that didn't work, i even installed the patch agen (1.01) and it dont work which brings me to another question, do i have to install all three patches when updating form a fresh install, or just 1.03?

neway this is really starting to **** me off and i dont know what to do, its never done this before, wel until my new graphics card neway but i dont want to have to test it with my x300 agen cuz ill end up breaking them both

o k wel ive fixed it now, i jus needed to delete my profiles, all makes sense now coz i was messing round with my profile names at the beginning and thats y i had to reinstall. i no im basically talking to myself but jus so everyone knows DELETE YOUR PROFILES!!!
