Catalyst are drivers for your video card. If you dont have them, I suggest you get them if you want to use your video card...go to www.ati.com click drivers, and download cat 5.10

I had to stick with an old driver for my Radeon 9800 pro. With the new one, my computer frequently rebooted when I was killed by e.g. artillery and apcs. Has anyone else had this problem?

There's also http://omegadrivers.net/ which are the tweaked Catalyst drivers, and tend to be the more reliable choice of all the tweaked versions available.

            Re: ATI Catalyst Help

I update my drivers every time a new version comes out. Even if they don't include performance increase in the change-log, doesn't mean that there isn't any.

I'd recommend the NGO drivers over the omega, DNA, and even the official Catalyst builds. I've found the NGO builds to be faster and more stable.

I have had problems with using those 5.10 drivers also with the ATI 9800 XT (converted from Pro).

It would produce a garbled image when I changed some settings when the 5.10 drivers were installed. After some troubleshooting, I just re-installed Windows and the 5.10 drivers started to work ok.

My system was working just fine before the 5.10 drivers though.
