Problem with DVD version...Please Help!

When i try to play this game i put in the DVD and it says there is no disc inserted. I have a perfectly fine DVD drive so i dont know why it does this. After opening and closing my DVD drive about 10000000000 times it finally loaded and i installed it. Now i have to do the same thing just to play the game. I also have this problem with other DVD versions of games. Please help me.

I would recommend mounting a virtual image.

also try updating the drive's firmware and use latest chipsetdrivers for motherboard.

he is right. a "perfectly fine" dvd drive would read it right. i have a dvd drive and it reads mine perfectly. so, maybe it is ur drive. maybe the cables r loose. tht is wht happened to mine a couple months ago.

i had the same problem with my DVD too. it would install ok but wouldn't load the game. if i tried long enough it eventually would. the problem is the DVD it's self. I took mine back and got a new one, haven't had any trouble since. just to be on the safe side i went with the CD version. everything works fine. hope this is of some help to you.
