That would get you all medium settings, possibly some low. But definietly more performance than the 9800.

                    Re: graphics card...

Errr...I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (not over clocked) and run the game at "High" settings with no problems at all. I usually average around 50-60 fps in game.

In the case of other people that have problems with the game crashing, I seriously doubt it's due to their video card.

Having said that, I build my system a year and a little over a year and a half ago. I would also say that if I were building a system today I would go with a PCI express card for sure, but only because I know I would be able to use it for awhile.

                      No you don't.
                      I'd recommend at least a 6600GT

Oh, I'll bet he does. I can run several settings in BF2 at "high" and average at 40-50 fps with 4X AA, and I've only got a 9600 Pro (OCed at bit, but no where near close to a 9800). I see no reason why a 9800 wouldn't be able to run most settings at high with an average of 50-60fps. I'll bet it'd be even faster if he used the NGO driver builds.

i don't know what those other people are talking about, i had a 9800 pro 128mb and i played the game fine with all medium setting and like 2x aa. there was initial lag for a like 30seconds-1 minutes, but after that it was pretty smooth. the only problems i had were not because of my video card, but were because of the crappy computer i had. dell 2gs 512mb ram.

*SOME* settings on high is not "high settings". High settings implies that he's running everything on high and I can assure you that he isn't with that card. Especially with the FPS he listed.

This topic has been discussed many times. Don't say you're running "high settings" if you have one thing set to high and the rest set to medium or lower.
