How do you remove tag?

How do I remove the tag from my name. On my log on screen, in the prefix, its now empty. But, when I log onto a server, my tag is still there. Is there some secret place where I have to go to remove it?

Best way is to type something into the "Prefix" box, and then backspace it out. Now when you login, your prefix will be gone.

Another way that seemed to work is my friend went on a server for a mod he had downloaded and the prefix didn't come up and when he went back to normal play he had to put the prefix back on.

go to your documents and then battlefield 2
thenlook for sumthing like global.con
and inthere ull know what to do

all you do is type something into the prefix box and delete it

Also, if you go into the global.con file you can get around the character limitation (use any character you want) by typing your prefix in the file itself and saving. Then go into the game and its there. I think you have to use the same font as what is native to the file though. Nice little trick I learned.
