A little help

Well I'm new here at the forums as I just started playing BF2, however I have a few questions regarding the Badges and Awards in the game.

**IF this is in the wrong forum i'm terribly sorry**

I currently play in ranked servers and I was looking at how to get the "Basic" badges, but I noticed that say as an example the Sniper badge, I have gotten 5 sniper kills in one round and I didn't recieve that badge. Do I have to stay a sniper the WHOLE round or can I switch around between classes?

It would be greatly appreciated if anybody could help out.

I think the sniper badge is 7 in one round.

Yes but do I have to stay as a sniper the whole round or can I switch between different classes? And I got over 7, but does it have to be a streak or can I get say 3, then die then get my other 4?

Oh yea, I also average about 20-30 spec ops kills in one round too, and I still havn't got the basic spec ops badge.

Go on an official EA server.

Well each badge should only require 10 kills for that kit. I'd suggest staying the same kit till you get the kills then once you see the basge appear in the right hand side of the screen, then change kits to your liking.

This may sound stupid, but how do I tell if its an offical EA server?

It'll say something like "EA [Country Name] Official # [Number of Server]"

Just type in EA in the search.

check ubar for the stats reqs. No you dont have to be the same class to get badges, but it helps!!!!! You just need to fulfil the reqs for a certain badge, get the drumroll and the rest of the round you can play whatever. Make sure you play to the end of the round though to ensure the stats do forward to your account. There have been many probs with the stats system over time (check out my global time played stat!!!!! Below in sig!!!). How are you getting onto servers - through BFHQ? check the ranked servers only filter too to ensure this. Hope this helps.

Ok well let me try, my servers are set to ranked now. But I normal play in the Hostile Fraction 24/7 Wake Island 2007. Could it have somthing to do with the map?

Some servers are wierd. Try different servers or official EA servers as I said above.

No, it has absolutely nothing to do with the map.

Just check the ranked servers only filter in BFHQ and try out a few servers to see. Shouldn't be long before you get an award by the sounds of it. All the best.
