Here's another obvious but underused command brought to you by the person that told you that you could crouch in a mounted mg.

When you're spotting and the enemy disapppears behind a building or you know is too far for you to specifically call out what it is. Don't press Q and left click, it'll only show a question mark and say "enemy forces spotted." Instead, right click on spot enemy and it'll bring up a list of possible things you can spot ranging from tanks to snipers.

People dont do that? I do it all the time and I've only been online for what...hmmm 12 hrs or so.

nice tip! Also, I wonder, if you see an APC and click vehicle spotted(by mistake) will there be a questionmark or an actual APC 'dot' on the map?

Good one! Although I'm sure it seems pretty obvious (as you said) to a lot of the clowns that are gonna jump in here and call you an idiot noob, I'm sure it is underused (again..as you said).

I'd like to add another one that should be pretty obvious, but from my experience, even a lot of the veterans don't seem to know about. When you're in a vehicle (usually the Blackhawk for me) you can press F10 to go to the exterior view AND see what kits are on board. This is great to know, especially if you're the pilot, so you know how bold you can be when coming in on a target. As a passenger, you can also use this and let your pilot know if he has an engineer or medic on board or when he loses a certain kit/capability. It can and should change the way the pilot flys (i.e....can I hide behind that hill and get quick repairs, or do I need to haul ass and find a supply box or heli-pad?).

Also, the F10 key (and other optional views) is/are great to use especially when you're in the non-gunning positons to get an AWESOME view of your flight.

Come fly with me sometime and hit F-10. I guarantee you the flight of your life......but ya better bring a change of underwear!

It's always better to use the quicker spotted method if you have a good enough view of the target. Doing that places the proper icon on the map and it moves according to how the spotted enemy is moving. Selecting the vehicle in the secondary menu will show an icon but it doesn't move.

Actually the icon on your mini-map will move if it is the correct selection and your crosshairs are directly on the subject being spotted(no matter the distance). But of course pick the wrong thing and it will not move... like the boat in the middle on Karkand.
