    BF2 Sniper Guide (with illustrations)

I have made this for all the rookie snipers and ones that have trouble using the kit. Comments, questions, and constructive criticism is always appreciated!

Sorry I couldn't post it on these forums, as I would have to change all the tags.
    Enjoy.

I would personnaly say its a bit of a waste of time moving everytime you shoot someone, i just got 13 kills to 0 death with out moving at all on maushuur city, the only time you should move is if you have been shot and you don't no who it was, or someone knows your there.

          Very good guid.

Psycho, I disagree. For all you know, someone could of seen or heard your shot and be hunting for you. You should always move after a shot... Unless, you feel your position is at the very best of places to hide eg. Grass.

I don't completely agree that you should move after every shot. It all depends on the situation. If you just shot at someone in a squad and the squad is spraying every likely sniper spot then I'd say it's safe to stay where you are. If they're specifically shooting at you then you might want to think about moving. If you have to move do so in a prone position if at all possible. Standing up just makes you an easier target and also makes you stand out in case the enemy only had a general idea where you were.

about moving after a shot, I disagree, I agree with the topicstarter you have to stay at your spot, moving will make the enemy spot you. and when you have a good spot to snipe, you just can stay there, the ones hering your shot should be the ones dieing from that shot

It is imperative to move if you have been spotted. If you are positive you are safe from all threats, stay there. You can reposition yourself once in a while prone. If dueling, it is not recommended to be lie inert on the ground, as you are an easy target (see "dueling" section)

You should also keep a close eye on other sniping locations, as they are the most likely give your position away or kill you.
Sharqi is my favorite place to Snipe on, I can fully(except helis) defend one flag and 80% defend another, and 25% defend two more all from one spot. Typically get 13-20 kills without moving from my spot, I am sure some(if not most) of you know where that is.

If you shoot your gun, make sure you kill somebody with that shot, or else pull the pistol out and spread bullets with it, afterall its silenced.

                    Also
Unlike many veteran snipers say. Cranes are your friends, being spotted on the crane is not, remember that.

I don't really care if there hunting for me there a claymores anywhere that they can get to me and if they weren't a sniper in the first place then they will most likly suck at it and they won't hit me in the head meaning i will just move if i hear the bullet go near me or hit me, just a complete waste of time moving when you could be killing people.

This guide is very good. After reading it, my scores, sniping, went from about 5:1 kill:death ratio to like 20:1..... VERY good..

                          Excellent guide.
Quick addition. I was in a sniper dual last night, he was lurking on the edge of the map high on a hill, (great place). Got him, turned away to move and I'm being shot at from the same place. Bit confused and died. When I spawned I grabbed a chopper and went back up there. Lo and behold there was 2 of them, a sniper and a medic. Sweet move.
