What happens when EA (being the exploitative people they are) release Battlefield 42? all abbreviations for BF 1942 go out the window!

and what happens when, in the (not too) distant future, Battlefield version 1941 is released? What do they do for the sequel? go retro?





It was annoying me. I thought i'd share it with you all.

don't think they go retro, marketing results I have seen have showed that WW2 games market has become to crowded and most people are tyred of them.
you don't see to many comming out anymore, only some master titles stay at the front but way less popular as it used to be.
At the time of BF1942, almost every shooter game was a WW2 shooter, and the rest was futuristic .

Expansions will folow in the same trend as today, more based at curent warfare or in the very near future

they'll do none of that.

They're going to Code Patches for BF2 and BF2:SF in the near Future, or thats my opinion.
