I prefer Quake 4 because to me it has a faster pace, more detailed environments and it doesnt run like crap at higher settings. IMO the single player campaign of F.E.A.R. is a little too slow for my taste and I get bored with it often. Its very repetitive and needs more variety in the levels and type of enemies.

i would say F.E.A.R., it got better scores than quake 4, and ive never liked quake. and i also like relaistic guns, not plasma ones that are in quake, altough fear has a plasma cannon, but thats just cool, rips a person in two. and im having alot of fun with the mp demo, i think i might just get it after all.

F.E.A.R is the obvious choice. Quake 4 is way more repetitive and theres not all that much new in it.

The story in FEAR is far more interesting, as well as the whole overall atmosphere and enviroment.

Plus the graphics are better if you can run them on highest settings. ONly problem with FEAR is it is pretty hardware intensive.

Reviews? Never listen to reviews mate, make your own mind up from actual gamers... I'd say Quake 4, it's just so damn fun, you feel like you're part of a team... Although once I finish Quake, I will move to fear.

well if there was a demo i would tell you guys what i think, i dont really like wuake games, fear is more fun to me, more real. for me real is better.

Quake 4 isnt that awsome basicly same graphics and **** as doom except diffrent lvls and guns. same crap in space fighting monsters. FEAR is way better much better game play and it just looks cooler

If you want a single player game cough pirate it cough, but anywho, I think f.e.a.r. is the better single player experiance but quake 4 is almost just as good. Overall I bought quake 4 since it had better multiplayer and single player is almost as good in my eyes. Both are worth buying for single player alone at the momment.

Excuse me? that looks like a personal opinion to me, i realy thaught FEAR was quite repetitive with the same guys to kill , over, and over , and over, on quake 4 there is a huge variety of different charachters to kill. MY personal opinion is Q4
